Strenuous: 8.5 miles, 1900-ft elev. gain

Follow Mazamas’ Brian Conley on this classic Gorge hike along the cascading Wahkeena Creek, past Fairy Falls and Wahkeena Springs, to end up at Angels Rest for breathtaking views before descending. 

 

First Meeting Place: Depart from Gateway at 8:00 AM. 

Second Meeting Place: 9:00 AM at Wahkeena Falls Trailhead (Take I-84 east to Bridal Veil Exit 28, follow exit road to stop sign; turn left on Scenic Highway and continue 2.6 miles to Wahkeena Falls parking area).
