Friends Conservation Organizer Katy Daily will lead this challenging trek to Indian Point for magnificent views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, and the Columbia River. Some scrambling required, but spectacular wildflowers and scenery make it well worth the effort.
First Meeting Place: Depart 8:00 AM from Gateway.
Second Meeting Place: 9:00 AM at Herman Creek Campground back parking lot (Take I-84 east to Cascade Locks Exit 44, continue east through town 2 miles and go straight to “Oxbow Fish Hatchery” road just before freeway on-ramp. Turn right at Herman Creek Campground and go to back parking lot; $5 trailhead fee or NW Forest Pass required).
