Strenuous: 7 miles, 1500-ft elev. gain

Follow the Cascade Crest Trail with Mazamas’ Richard Getgen across wildflower meadows to a fire lookout site and views of Mt. Adams as we make our way to Grassy Pass.  Moderate grade at a brisk pace.

 

First Meeting Place: Depart from Gateway at 8:00 AM.

Second Meeting Place: 8:50 AM at North end of Bridge of the Gods (Take I-84 east to Cascade Locks Exit 44, cross Bridge of the Gods. $5 parking fee or NW Forest Pass required).
