A “mile an hour” outing with wildlands advocate and naturalist Wendell Wood through mature-aged and old growth Douglas fir forests to “Herman Camp.” After initial steep assent, the trail passes a splendid waterfall and enters designated Wilderness Area. Return trip includes optional .8 mile side trip to a bridge over rushing lower Herman Creek. A plant list will be provided. NW Forest Pass required.
