We've been leading hikes in the Columbia Gorge since 1980.

Friends' leaders have covered every trail in the Gorge, and every season you'll find hikes on our schedule that aren't on the maps.

Each season also includes special outings for members only; newcomers are welcome to join when registering.

The lists of our 2005 Events and 2006 Events offer a good range of hikes and trails you can find yourself in our "off" season, with directions to many trailheads.

In addition, many excellent books are available in your local bookstore or library on hiking in the Columbia Gorge.  And any time you are hiking the Gorge, Russ Jolley's "Wildflowers of the Columbia Gorge" is a good reference to have tucked in your pack.

There are many resources you can search online. One good site to check out is www.nwhiker.com.
