Dam Removal Movie Nights
One by one, outmoded dams in the Northwest that impede salmon passage, affect natural resources and limit whitewater recreation are coming down. Join us for a fascinating documentary on the 2009 removal of one such dam, Hemlock Dam, in the Columbia Gorge.

White Salmon film night, June 22. Skamania County Commissioner Paul Pearse and and James Dean of James Dean Construction (which removed Hemlock Dam) appear in the video and will speak briefly.
Hood River film night, June 24
Friends and its allies are working hard to ensure removal of Condit Dam on the White Salmon River. At 100 feet, Condit Dam will be the tallest dam yet removed in the United States. Read more about our efforts.
